Licenciado en Oceanología por la Facultad de Ciencias Marinas, UABC, Ensenada, Baja California. Maestro en Oceanografía Costera por parte de la Universidad Autónoma de Baja California. Doctor en Ciencias por el Centro de Investigaciones en Alimentación y Desarrollo (CIAD A.C.) Unidad-Mazatlán.
Investigador del programa Cátedras CONACyT asignado a la Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco en la División Académica de Ciencias Biológicas de octubre de 2016 a septiembre de 2022 para desarrollar el proyecto Fisiología y Genómica Funcional de Peces Nativos. Actual miembro de SIN nivel 2, con vigencia a diciembre del 2027. Actualmente incorporado al Instituto de Investigaciones Oceanológicas, UABC como investigador tiempo completo para desarrollar investigación enfocada en fisiología y nutrición de organismos acuáticos.
Resume
Dr. Peña has a Bachelor of Oceanology from the Faculty of Marine Sciences, UABC, Ensenada, Baja California. Master in Coastal Oceanography from the Autonomous University of Baja California. Doctor of Science from the Center for Research in Food and Development (CIAD A.C.) Unit-Mazatlán. Researcher of the CONACyT Chairs program assigned to the Juárez Autonomous University of Tabasco in the Academic Division of Biological Sciences from October 2016 to September 2022 to develop the Physiology and Functional Genomics of Native Fish project. Current member of SIN level 2, valid until December 2027. Currently incorporated into the Institute of Oceanological Research, UABC, as a full-time researcher to develop research focused on the physiology and nutrition of aquatic organisms.
