Resume Dr. Peña has a Bachelor of Oceanology from the Faculty of Marine Sciences, UABC, Ensenada, Baja California. Master in Coastal Oceanography from the Autonomous University of Baja California. Doctor of Science from the Center for Research in Food and Development (CIAD A.C.) Unit-Mazatlán. Researcher of the CONACyT Chairs program assigned to the Juárez Autonomous University of Tabasco in the Academic Division of Biological Sciences from October 2016 to September 2022 to develop the Physiology and Functional Genomics of Native Fish project. Current member of SIN level 2, valid until December 2027. Currently incorporated into the Institute of Oceanological Research, UABC, as a full-time researcher to develop research focused on the physiology and nutrition of aquatic organisms.
